This week’s episode of Grey’s Anatomy will pick up the unfinished storylines from the episode before the infamous dinner party.

Now that we’ve had a short break from DeLuca’s epic medical mystery and the growing tension between Amelia and Link — that dinner party was really something, huh? — it’s time to return to a different kind of chaos this week on Grey’s Anatomy.

While it would have been interesting to see Maggie roped in to help solve this case, it looks like DeLuca will seek out help from a diagnostics expert instead. (A future love interest for him? Will Meredith finally be free? Only time will tell.)

We also know Amelia will get the results of her paternity test this episode, but whether or not we actually find out what they are within the hour is yet to be determined. As frustrating as cliffhangers can sometimes be, this wouldn’t be a terrible one to keep fans guessing.

It looks like Jo isn’t too happy with Amelia after neglecting to tell Link about Owen. That’s a very “Jo” thing to do — she and Link have been friends for a long time, and she’s the kind of person who will stand up for anyone she thinks isn’t being treated fairly.

We haven’t seen much conflict between Amelia and Jo up to this point, so this could make for an interesting new dynamic. Especially since it will put Meredith in an awkward position, being Amelia’s “sister” and Jo’s husband’s best friend (by the way, is Alex still in Iowa? Debatable.).

Bailey will spend the episode dealing with a different kind of dysfunctional family dynamic, in charge of a young patient we’ll learn more about on Station 19 who ran away from his foster home alongside his foster siblings.

There’s some speculation that Bailey and Warren, fresh off the loss of their own child, will either foster this group of kids or decide to become foster parents in general. They’re both a little busy for that — probably? — but this is Grey’s Anatomy, where children come and go on and off-screen and usually stay gone for 90% of future episodes. They could make it work.

Unless Grey’s throws us a twist we didn’t ask for and, when something unspeakable happens to Amelia and/or Link (or Owen?), Bailey and Warren end up with the kid instead. At this point, anything could happen. Catherine could swoop in and threaten to purchase it to get back at Richard for all we know.

Whatever happens this week, let’s hope Suzanne survives. Those kids need their mother, and we don’t need any reason for Meredith to have to comfort DeLuca, resulting in their inevitable reunion and the end of Mer and Dr. Hayes. We just started liking him! Don’t do that to us!
