Marvel Studios prop master, Russell Bobbitt, teased his work on Disney Plus’ Loki series — and it looks like the trickster’s Scepter will be making a comeback.

Tom Hiddleston has been hyping up the Loki series heading to Disney Plus for some time now, but Marvel Studios prop master, Russell Bobbitt, went on Twitter to tease his work on the upcoming series over the weekend — and his Tweet may have revealed a small but new detail about the show in the process.

While we don’t know much about the plot of Loki, we know the trickster will be returning through the time-travel events of Avengers: Endgame — and thanks to Bobbitt, we also know that Loki’s Scepter will be making a comeback as well.

Bobbitt posted an video of the weapon with the caption “Loki…I am back,” and we can only assume that means the scepter is back as well.

What’s interesting and worth noting is that the Space Stone appears to still be in Loki’s Scepter in the video. Whether that — or any other Infinity Stones floating around in alternate timelines — will come into play during the new Disney Plus series remains to be seen. But it’s possible Thanos’ demise at the end of Endgame didn’t completely end the fight for the stones. They’re powerful, and other villains could certainly seek them out.

The inclusion of Loki’s Scepter also suggests fans watching the series might get to return to some earlier moments from the Marvel Cinematic Universe. After all, the show will see Loki traveling through time, so it makes sense we’d return to a timeline when he had the item — like the Battle of New York in Avengers?

If Loki does return to that timeline, it’s possible we’ll see some of the original Avengers again — or get Loki’s current perspective on the attack on New York, which would be interesting given his role in it. Will the villain feel any remorse seeing what Thanos’ forces do to the city? We’re not holding our breath, but it’s not totally out of the question…

Loki is currently slated to hit Disney Plus early in 2021.
