Star Wars’ Baby Yoda shares a striking resemblance to Harry Potter’s Dobby

If you take a close look at Star Wars’ Baby Yoda and get rid of the green, there’s a Harry Potter character you’ll recognize. Baby Yoda looks like Dobby.
With the lack of official merchandise for Star Wars‘ Baby Yoda, many fans have taken to creating their own. And that’s led to some fun fan-art, including Baby Yoda without his characteristic green skin. Once given a human skin, he shares a striking resemblance to a certain elf from Harry Potter.
Yes, it’s all about Dobby. With the human skin, the wrinkles and ears (okay, they’re on different angles but have similar points) make him look like the CGI character that caused plenty of trouble for Harry Potter while trying to keep him safe. The only thing taking away from the resemblance is the eyes, considering how yellow Dobby’s were instead of the big, black, puppy-dog like look.

Okay, so not quite the same as the character we eventually saw on the screen. However, if you think back to the description in the books, I’m sure you could certainly picture this creature in place of the house-elf we eventually got.

I feel like calling it "human skin yoda" limits the array of tones we enjoy as a peoples, but that notwithstanding, the haunting viral image got me thinking about what #BabyYoda would look like if he was my kids' biological sibling.

It’s probably a good idea that the movies didn’t give us this Baby Yoda-Dobby hybrid. Dobby’s death was hard enough as it was. Could you imagine what it would have been like with the adorableness of the Baby Yoda-Dobby hybrid? We’d have been even angrier than we are now.
Oh, and let’s not forget that we probably wouldn’t have been as upset with Dobby when he got Harry in so much trouble. And there’s a chance that he wouldn’t have been quite the annoyance to Hermione, Ron, and others.
