Gary Oldman is still our Sirius Black, but the Harry Potter actor is in a new movie in 2020. He’ll star in The Woman in the Window opposite Amy Adams, and the trailer will leave you breathless.

Everyone has their secrets, right? Sometimes, those secrets are deadly. And that’s something Adams’ character finds out. She’s a woman who suffers from agoraphobia but seems plenty from her window. One of the things she sees is of her neighbor being murdered.

However, Oldman’s character makes it clear that she didn’t see anything. In fact, she’s never met his wife. And so, we end up with a psychological thriller. You see, the medication Adams’ character is on can cause hallucinations. So, is she seeing things or are people hiding some major secrets?

The only way you’ll be able to find out is to watch the movie. Even the trailer gives little away, giving you the initial basics but making it clear there’s a deep mystery to unravel. And it’s exciting to see Oldman play a darker character, one with plenty of secrets and possibly end up being the villain in the story.

The Woman in the Window is based on the A.J. Finn novel of the same name. If you loved Gone Girl, then you’re going to want to check this movie out as soon as it’s released.
