Harry Potter’s Maggie Smith had one great thing from filming the movies

Harry Potter’s Maggie Smith may not have found the filming satisfying, but there was one great thing that came out of it. It’s all about family.
Maggie Smith recently spoke about why filming Harry Potter wasn’t satisfying. While thankful for the work, it wasn’t as challenging as she’d hope. However, the filming did mean a great thing for family.
Insider broke down more of the interview Smith recently did, sharing why the filming on Harry Potter wasn’t all that challenging. And she wasn’t the only one who felt that way. Despite our love for him as Snape, Alan Rickman also had some of the same disappointments about filming. They were there more for the reaction shots than anything else. At least Rickman had more to do, especially within the later movies.

While the filming wasn’t satisfying, Smith did say that she got to spend a lot of time with her five grandchildren. She had more time off than most movie studios would offer, allowing her time to see them grow and develop. It was a chance to bond much more.

Despite her saying the filming wasn’t satisfying, we love the fact that she got to spend more time bonding with her grandchildren. There’s something special about a relationship between grandparents and grandchildren on both sides.

And as much as she didn’t find it satisfying, we love her as Professor McGonagall. While most of it was all about reaction shots, we can’t deny that there were some hilarious moments as she showed just why she’s a star on the screen.
