After what feels like forever, The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina will return this January, as Sabrina heads to Hell to save her imprisoned boyfriend.
The wait is over, witches! The long-awaited third installment of The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina is finally headed our way.
Many fans were disappointed when Halloween came and went with no sign of the Spellmans. (After all, Sabrina is exactly the sort of show that belongs on our TV during spooky season.) But, at least we don’t have to wait too much longer – the series will officially return on January 24, 2020.
And from what we can tell, it’s going to be just as dark, wild and entertaining as ever.
The news was first revealed during a panel at Argentina Comic Con over the weekend, but Netflix was quick to drop a premiere announcement video shortly thereafter, which is gorgeous, creepy and still manages to show us precisely zero actual footage from part three.
But we do know a bit about where the story is headed,
Per the official release, part three will pick up right where the previous installment left off.
Part Three finds Sabrina reeling from the harrowing events of Part Two. Though she defeated her father Lucifer, the Dark Lord remains trapped within the human prison of her beloved boyfriend, Nicholas Scratch. Sabrina can’t live with herself, knowing that Nick made the ultimate sacrifice and is suffering, burning in Hell under Madam Satan’s watchful eye. So with an assist from her mortal friends, “The Fright Club” (consisting of Harvey, Rosalind, and Theo), Sabrina makes it her mission to free him from eternal damnation and bring him back into her arms.
However, the Dark Lord’s unseating has sent shockwaves through the realms—and, with no one on the throne, Sabrina must assume the title of “Queen” to defend it against a challenger, the handsome Prince of Hell Caliban. Meanwhile, in Greendale, a mysterious carnival rolls into town, bringing with it a threat to the Spellmans and the coven: A tribe of pagans looking to resurrect an ancient evil…”
Sabrina heading to Hell to rescue her boyfriend? Becoming its Queen? A mysterious magical carnival? And a new – presumably very attractive – Prince of Hell?
Sounds like pretty everything we’ve come to expect from this show. January 24 cannot get here soon enough.
Are you looking forward to the return of Chilling Adventures of Sabrina? What do you think will happen in part three?
