Our Hogwarts houses say a lot about us and, with that, comes the knowledge that we are sometimes a little too much like the houses we’ve chosen for ourselves from Harry Potter.

Hogwarts houses bring us together and, for many of us, we use them to identify ourselves. We chose them and we love them with all our hearts but there was a tweet from one fan that really got us talking because…it’s pretty spot on.

Gina Denny decided to outline the Hogwarts houses based on their traits that are…less than great and to be fair, it’s not wrong.

Looking at this tweet, it made me realize that I am very much a Gryffindor through and through. Mainly because I’m always ready to fight but it is a very telling experiment in each house. To use me for example, I am a Gryffindor but I also have bits of Ravenclaw in me. Which means I’ll fight him but also if you’re moving too slow doing something, I’ll just do it myself.

This is a fun example of Potter fans and our ability to connect back to the series even years after it has ended. Mainly because we love this series so much so that we still identify with our Hogwarts houses and want to talk about them.

So, whether you are “I don’t care if it’s a misunderstanding that b***h is dead to me” or “If you don’t know why I’m mad, I’m not telling you”, it’s okay. Because, at the end of the day, we’re all Harry Potter fans.
