When will Last Christmas be on Digital, DVD, and Blu-ray?

It’s the time of year for Christmas movies. Game of Thrones‘ Emilia Clarke and Crazy Rich Asians‘ Harry Golding star in the Christmas movie Last Christmas, and it also stars Harry Potter’s Emma Thompson. If you can’t get to the theaters or you’ve watched it and you want to add it to your Christmas movie collection, you’ll want to know when Last Christmas will be on Digital, DVD, and Blu-ray.

While there isn’t a set release date just yet (the movie has only just come out in theaters), it is possible to make an educated guess for when the movie will be released. As a Universals Pictures movie, we have to look at the likes of Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom and Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs and Shaw to get an idea of the release.

Both of these movies took three months to go from theaters to DVD and Blu-ray. That suggests Last Christmas will head to your home video collection in February. If we had to put a date on it, we’d say Feb. 11, 2020. It should be in time for Valentine’s Day.

What about those who want it on Digital? Most Universal Pictures movies head to Digital about two weeks before the DVD and Blu-ray release. We’re looking at the end of January or start of February for Last Christmas to make it to a digital platform near you.

While Emma Thompson isn’t a lead character in this Christmas movie, you’ll still want to check it out. She plays Adelia, who is connected to Emilia Clarke’s Kate.

Last Christmas isn’t performing well with the critics, earning it a 44% score on Rotten Tomatoes. This isn’t all that surprising. It’s hard for Christmas rom-coms to gain positive reviews with the critics. The audience will likely be a different matter.
