Kit Harrington knows which character he would be in a Harry Potter prequel

Fans of the Wizarding World have been buzzing for a Harry Potter prequel for some time now and if it gets the go ahead, Kit Harrington knows which character he would be.
While a Harry Potter prequel has not been confirmed, there is speculation that we will one day get one. There are many different stories that could be explored, both before and after the time of The Boy Who Lived. If one is ever giving the go ahead, Game of Thrones star Kit Harrington would probably be a go to person to cast since he already knows which role he would play.
During ACE Comic Con, Kit Harrington took up the challenge of answering questions from fans and it was during this Q+A panel when the subject of Harry Potter came up.

Focusing on a potential Marauders Series, the most sought-after Wizarding World series among fans, Harrington was asked who he would like to appear as in a Marauders series.
Most fans would assume that Harrington would make a good Sirius Black or James Potter. However, Harrington has something else in mind.

Catching everyone off guard, Harrington stated he would like to play the role of everyone’s favorite Potions Professor; Snape.
"“Snape. Snape is the best character, ever.”"
Harrington went on to say that while he may want to play Snape, he doesn’t think he is suitable for the role and that he would be more suited towards Sirius Black.
"“I don’t think I’m right for him, so I’ll play Sirius.”"
The likelihood of seeing Harrington appear in a Harry Potter prequel is, at the moment, unlikely. With the Fantastic Beasts franchise still ongoing, we are unlikely to see another spin-off anytime soon.
If one was given the go ahead, Harrington may not be available anytime soon as he is set to appear in The Eternals.
You never know though. Maybe one day it will happen. We will have to wait and see
