Marvel’s Runaways stole the show at NYCC on Friday with an action packed panel full of season 3 secrets and charming cast members. Here’s what we can tell you about it.

Teen superhero series Marvel’s Runaways returns for its third season this December, and the cast and producers held a highly anticipated panel at this year’s New York Comic Con to give us all a sneak peek at what’s to come. Spoiler alert: It looks amazing.

Moderated by Head of Marvel TV Jeph Loeb, the panel included executive producers Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage, as well as stars Rhenzy Feliz (Alex), Gregg Sulkin (Chase), Lyrica Okano (Nico), Virginia Gardner (Karolina), Allegra Acosta (Molly), and Ariela Barer (Gert).

And, yes, they’re all precisely as awesome and charming as you’d expect.

Here are five big things to know from the Runaways big day at NYCC.

Elizabeth Hurley is season 3’s Big Bad, Morgan Le Fay

Hurley couldn’t be part of the panel, as she’s currently in London, but she provided a quick video hello to the fans at NYCC. In it, she announces she’ll be playing “iconic Marvel villain” Morgan Le Fay who, as the actress notes is “the greatest sorceress of all time”.

She also apparently spoiled a bunch of things about Morgan’s powers, but since the video bleeped half all of her comments with a yellow spoiler alert graphic, we have no idea what they were. Sigh! Her costume was amazing, though.

This cast loves each other so much

The panel kicked off with a segment in which Loeb asked each panelist to turn and say something nice about the person on your left. This, of course, led to a ten minute lovefest, in which every cast member discussed the ways they all inspired one another and why they love to work together.

This group seems to have a deep bond with one another, and there was lots of awww-ing over everyone’s comments. A couple of people even cried.

Cloak and Dagger will be crossing over into Runaways.

The news that stars Aubrey Joseph and Olivia Holt from Freeform’s teen Marvel drama Cloak and Dagger would appear on Hulu’s Runaways broke back in August, but the series’ NYCC panel featured a few more details about what to expect from this cross-network crossover.

Loeb called the appearance of Tandy and Tyone “integral to what happens this season. They don’t just jump in, say hi, and leave.”

The season 3 trailer certainly hints that they may not be showing up to fight alongside our Runwaways as we all previously assumed.

Could Tandy and Tyrone come to Los Angeles to try and stop Nico’s descent into darkness? It certainly seems possible.  “Cloak and Dagger. It’s something we’ve wanted to do since the beginning of the show. We’ve always wanted them in our world, and this year Jeph finally said yes,” Savage explained.

Loeb also teased the prospect of the Runaways crossing over into the world of Cloak and Dagger on Freeform, a particularly intriguing nugget given the fact that show hasn’t actually been renewed for a fourth season yet. Good news looming? Here’s hoping!

We saw the season 3 premiere!

And…we can’t tell you much about it. Sorry, sorry, the Marvel security police are no joke, and Jeph Loeb reminded us a bunch of times to keep the secrets, since we were getting to see the two months before it premieres. But what we can tell you, is that the episode picks up right where season 2 ended, and is a non-stop hour full of a lot of action and really great character moments.

Karolina and Nico fans, you will particularly love this episode. Let’s just say there was a lot of squealing in the audience at MSG.

Brian K. Vaughn showed up in the Q&A line!

Comic series co-creator Brian K. Vaughn popped up in the question line during the fan Q&A portion of the panel. (It was definitely one of those “It can only happen at NYCC!” sort of moments.)

He congratulated the cast for an amazing season premiere, talked about how fun it was watching Runaways in a roomful of fans and thanked them all for bringing his story to life.

Oh, and he lamps them all very much.
