Jennifer Lopez and Shakira are performing during Super Bowl LIV Pepsi Halftime show. Could more special appearances by top performers be coming?

Super Bowl LIV Pepsi Halftime show is going to be on fire. With Jennifer Lopez and Shakira headlining the mid-game performance, everyone has started speculating: Who will join that dynamic duo on the stage?

With this year’s final NFL game of the season set in Miami, the whole week of celebrations should have a lot of Miami flare. From the parties to the food, everyone will see how Miami is a vibrant, festive community.

Additionally, Pepsi, the sponsor of the Super Bowl halftime show, has labeled this year as “Always Be Celebrating.” Given that theme, the collaborative performance by Jennifer Lopez and Shakira should definitely have a celebratory vibe.

With that high-energy, get-on-your-feet, highly anticipated performance, the possibility of special appearances by various high profiled performers seems likely. Also, given that both performers have collaborated with similar artists, there are many possibilities on the horizon.

Here are the five special appearances that we want to see at Super Bowl LIV with Jennifer Lopez and Shakira.

Pitbull

Now, if Mr. 305 doesn’t appear during the halftime show, everyone will probably be disappointed. Everyone in Miami loves Pitbull, especially since he is from the area. More importantly, Pitbull always puts on a great performance.

Additionally, Pitbull has collaborated with both J. Lo and Shakira. “On the Floor” was the J. Lo collaboration, and “Get It Started” was with Shakira. Both songs would have the whole audience, both in person and at home, on their feet and dancing.

Gloria Estefan

Gloria Estefan put the Miami music scene on the map back in the 80s. From the Cuban-infused rhythms to the catching lyrics, everyone knows at least one Gloria Estefan song.

Again, having Estefan perform is a nice nod to Miami and the Cuban culture. This event will, and should, be a way to showcase the area and Latin-influenced music. While the stadium might make a giant conga line, everyone can (and should) be shaking their hips.

Cardi B

The Pepsi Super Bowl commercial last year featured Cardi B. There have been patterns where Pepsi sponsored performers have made appearances in these performances.

Cardi B has been everywhere and is super popular. From her music to her role in Hustlers (with J. Lo), it seems like a logical connection. Plus, just think of the dance performance that the two of them could have.

Vanilla Ice or another ’90s rapper

During the ’90s, rap in Miami was huge. Known as Miami Bass, songs like “Whoop There It Is” and “Tootsee Roll” all came out of the ’90s Miami music scene. While all these songs are iconic, people might not know those performers by name.

Vanilla Ice is a Florida native. Although he has moved on to starring in home renovation shows, Vanilla Ice still performs. Again, it could be a nice to bring some retro music into the show. The cross-generational music theme is huge right now.

EDM performers

The Electronic Dance Music (EDM) scene is huge in Miami. Dating back to the ’70s, this music scene has had a huge influence in the area. From partying at the pool to the late night events, the electronic beat fuels the event.

EMD music is filled with big names that have crossed into pop culture music. With collaborations by Marshmallow to Steve Aioki, it is quite possible that at least one song in the Super Bowl halftime performance could turn into a dance rave.

Granted, a surprise or special performance would probably not be announced to closer to the event. Even though everyone may have their preferred performers, the NFL, Pepsi and other producers will have the final say. Still, fans should (and will) make their voices heard.

Another interesting thing could also happen: Maybe, the show will only feature female performers. Wouldn’t that scenario make a huge statement during the sporting event?

Super Bowl LIV will be held at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, Florida on Sunday, February 2,
