Tired of waiting for your favorite band’s next tour stop? Music lovers need to book a trip to this travel destination, and they will be dancing all night long.

Music is often the soundtrack to our lives. Finding a music-filled travel destination doesn’t have to become a planning nightmare. One particular city holds an abundance of music experiences in one small area. Have you been there?

Las Vegas has always been a popular travel destination. While the old saying “what happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas” is ingrained in the pop culture collective, the Nevada city isn’t just sin city anymore. While casinos fill the area, there are many, many more diversions outside of the blinking lights and loud sounds of slot machines.

People book Las Vegas vacations for a variety of reasons. From the girls’ getaway to a bachelorette party (hopefully nothing like The Hangover) to even a wedding, the Las Vegas Strip is packed with all types of hotels and resorts.

While relaxing at the pool and enjoying a luxurious meal is amazing, a trip to Vegas has become more of an experience. Although Las Vegas shows have always been part of the travel destination, a new approach has taken over many of the major resorts.

Music, specifically residences, have integrated themselves into many Las Vegas properties. When Celine Dion took over Cesars and Brittany Spears started at Planet Hollywood, the excitement was huge. People traveled just to see these residences.

With the uber success of these types of shows, many more resorts decided to employ the model. Now, a quick glance down the Strip shows a huge-name, headlining performer multiple nights a week. From Gwen Stefani to Aerosmith to Steve Aioki, there are hugely popular artists onstage almost every night.

The idea of the artist residence is quite interesting. Instead of waiting for your favorite artist to visit your hometown (or something close by), fans can simply book a trip to Vegas for the experience. It is like getting a vacation and a concert wrapped into one event.

The idea is beneficial for both fans and resorts. Big-name performers turn that theater into a music-filled travel destination. It brings guests into the resort, the restaurants and the casinos. If you knew that you would be able to see the Backstreet Boys on your birthday, couldn’t that idea convince you to book a trip and buy a ticket?

Music has and will always be an important part of people’s lives. Who doesn’t remember the song playing at their first school dance or the soundtrack that filled their college years? Music is and will continue to be interwoven into people’s lives. They connect to those music artists on a very personal level.

By bringing all those artists to Las Vegas, a weekend trip can turn into the ultimate music experience. For example, on one night, you could see Lady Gaga, Gwen Stefani, or Diplo. Just think of how many huge name acts you could see in a single weekend.

Plus, some of the resorts bring part of the experience beyond the musical performance. For example, the Park MGM has the Haus of Gaga. This Lady Gaga experience highlights some of Lady Gaga’s most iconic fashions. From the infamous meat dress to other performance pieces, all the Little Monsters can get up and personal with these amazing fashions.

Additionally, Las Vegas is drawing huge crowds for its music festivals. For example, this past weekend Las Vegas hosted the IHeart Festival 2019 and the Life is Beautiful festival. Both music events hosted huge names like Miley Cyrus, Hasley, Fall Out Boy, and Post Malone. The eclectic group of performers made the weekend a huge event for music fans.

With so many varied acts packed into a single event, the cross section of guests was amazing. From millennials to baby boomers, the crowds all came together to celebrate their love of music and their favorite bands. It is a great example how music brings people together.

This weekend’s multiple music festival is just one example of how Las Vegas is a music-filled travel destination. From residences to big festivals, a trip to Vegas is a must for any music fan.
