Eddie Redmayne gives an elusive update on Fantastic Beasts 3

Fantastic Beasts 3 is coming but later than we’d hoped. Eddie Redmayne talked about the movie, but there’s still not much to go on.
You know that thing people do when they can’t answer the question or don’t actually know the answer and they just waffle? Eventually, they sit back and just say, “Nope, not a clue!” Well, that’s something Eddie Redmayne had to do at Toronto International Film Festival when talking about Fantastic Beasts 3.
The actor, who plays lead character New Scamander in the movies, was at TIFF 2019 to promote his upcoming movie, The Aeronauts. Of course, discussions of current and future projects came up, and one of those was the third installment in the Harry Potter prequel movies.

Fantastic Beasts 3‘s release date has been pushed back to November 2021, a year after the original release date. Production isn’t even meant to start until next spring, so did anyone really think that Redmayne would be able to say anything about the movie? Of course he couldn’t, and that’s not really because he might get in trouble for leaking spoilers.
Eddie Redmayne clearly knows nothing, according to Snitch Seeker. Maybe he should chat to Game of Thrones‘ Jon Snow about that! The two have a lot in common.

Right now, the script for Fantastic Beasts 3 is still being written. That he could tell reporters. But what he couldn’t say was what the script was like or even when they start filming. It’s going to be sometime in 2019 but that’s all anyone knows right now!
He does know that it’s going to be exciting. But honestly, we knew that already.
