If you’re a fan of the Tana French Dublin Murder Squad series, your time has come. The series is finally making it’s way to TV with Dublin Murders. Here are all the details.

Tana French fans! Our time has come once again but this time it’s not about a book (though let’s all cross our fingers another one is coming soon). This time it’s all about the new Dublin Murders  TV series coming to Starz. A release date has finally been announced and there’s a trailer!

According to Deadline, the crime drama, also entitled Dublin Murders, will premiere first on BBC One in October but then make its way to the U.S., Canada, Latin America, and the rest of Europe on November 10 on Starz. It will be on at 8 pm EST.

This first season will follow the events of the first two books in the Dublin Murder Squad series, In the Woods and The Likeness. In the first book, detectives Rob Reilly, played by Killian Scott, and Cassie Maddox, played by Sarah Greene, will attempt to solve the murder of a young girl.

The murder brings back Rob’s childhood memories of a case involving several kids. Three kids went into the woods one day, and one of them was Rob. But he was the only one to come out alive. He is forced to face what happened in the past in order to figure out what’s happening in the present.

As a result, Rob and Cassie’s partnership is tested to its breaking point, which leads into the second book where Cassie must face her own past when she is sent undercover.

If you haven’t read these two books, now is as good a time as ever. The stories will keep you guessing from the very start and the person responsible for the murders will be the last person you suspect.

The series’ cast is rounded out with Tom Vaughan-Lawlor, Moe Dunford, Leah McNamara, Eugene O’Hare, Jonny Holden, Conleth Hill, and Peter McDonald.

Hopefully, we’ll get to see the next four books in French’s series come to screen as well, as they are equally compelling. I may or may not be having a bit of a fangirl moment with the date finally being announced and the trailer being out. It’s just as eerie and creepy as I needed it to be. And if nothing else, who doesn’t love an Irish accent?
