Starbucks is ringing in the fall with a brand new pumpkin drink

Pumpkin spice lattes are back, but they aren’t the only pumpkin drink Starbucks is offering this season. Autumn lovers have a lot to look forward to, including a new pumpkin cream cold brew.

The end of August has arrived, and true autumn lovers know what that means: Pumpkin spice lattes are back at Starbucks, heralding the approach of the new season. But, as it turns out, PSLs aren’t the only pumpkin drink we have to look forward to this year. The coffee chain is also offering a brand new pumpkin drink this season: the Pumpkin Cream Cold Brew.

The company announced the latest addition to its autumn lineup in a press release, declaring August 27 the new first day of fall and claiming that the Pumpkin Cream Cold Brew will become another fan-favorite, much like the PSL already is. We are always happy to start fall early — and to indulge in a new Starbucks creation. According to the release, The Pumpkin Cream Cold Brew combines Starbucks Cold Brew coffee with vanilla and pumpkin cream cold foam, topping the drink off with some pumpkin spice seasoning on the top.

And whether you’re a cold brew lover or a PSL fanatic, there’s good news: Both are officially available as of yesterday. The chain even took to Instagram to announce the beginning of pumpkin-spice season (which seems to get earlier every year — not that we’re complaining about it).

“With customer excitement for PSL sweeping the nation each fall, we wanted to create a new beverage that combines two of our customers’ favorite things, pumpkin spices and cold brew,” Matthew Thornton from Starbucks beverage R&D team said of the new drink. “With each sip of Pumpkin Cream Cold Brew, you’ll enjoy the familiar, creamy, flavor of pumpkin spice followed by a refreshing taste of cold brew, for a cool beverage that will have you wishing it was fall all year long.”

Sadly, it won’t be fall all year long — but at least we’ll get to enjoy the Pumpkin Cream Cold Brew until the holiday drinks begin hitting the Starbucks menu. (And let’s be honest, by then we’ll be craving some peppermint mocha anyway.)
