Skinny Pete refuses to give up his old friend Jesse Pinkman in the first teaser for the highly anticipated Breaking Bad movie, El Camino.

Fire up the R.V., grab your safety goggles, and get ready to cook, because the first official teaser trailer for El Camino: A Breaking Bad Movie has officially dropped! From seemingly out of nowhere, Netflix released a name, date, poster, and trailer for one of the most highly anticipated movies of the year.

The minute-long teaser trailer features Skinny Pete in an interrogation room, talking to police. He’s being asked to give up any information he has on his former friend and partner Jesse Pinkman’s current whereabouts, but he refuses. Pete references the torture Jesse was put through when he was kidnapped by a group of skinheads and forced to cook in season five of Breaking Bad, saying that he doesn’t want his friend to go through that again.

The brief scene is set to a quiet, eerie version of the iconic Breaking Bad title theme by Dave Porter, and it has us seriously excited for what’s yet to come. Though the entire production of the film has been kept on high security, there is some new information via a movie description on Netflix.

According to the website, the synopsis of the film is: “In the wake of his dramatic escape from captivity, Jesse must come to terms with his past in order to forge some kind of future.” Just like the series itself, El Camino will be written and directed by showrunner/mastermind Vince Gilligan.

The sudden drop also included a mysterious poster, featuring the same green smoke from the now infamous title sequence:

Given how high profile the upcoming movie is, it’s pretty impressive how Netflix has managed to keep the majority of the information surrounding the project under wraps. We’re glad they did, however, because it made the sudden reveal that much more exciting for fans of the show.

To see how Jesse Pinkman’s life turns out after Walter White, you can stream El Camino: A Breaking Bad Movie October 11 when it drops on Netflix.
