In a recent interview, Bob Odenkirk shared his thought on Better Call Saul season 5, as well as the upcoming Breaking Bad movie.

Though season 5 of Better Call Saul won’t air on AMC until 2020, star Bob Odenkirk is already teasing what we can expect from the new season.

In a recent interview with The Hollywood Reporterthe Emmy nominee teased what fans could expect from the next season of the hit Breaking Bad spinoff: “[It’s a] very slow buildup as we go up the roller-coaster ramp and then, it starts going downhill, it just cannot stop,” he explained. “And that’s where we are in season five, which we’re shooting right now. Season five is just everything’s on fire, and it’s just burning down around us”

Better Call Saul may be much more of a slow burn than its predecessor, but that doesn’t mean the show doesn’t have plenty of crazy moments of its own. After four seasons of waiting, fans finally got to see JImmy McGill take on his crooked alias in the season finale, and we’re pretty sure that’s just the tip of the criminal iceberg for the newly-named Saul Goodman.

However, for fans of the Breaking Bad universe, there’s more than just season five of Better Call Saul to be excited about. It was announced earlier this year that Breaking Bad movie starring Aaron Paul would be coming to Netflix, and needless to say, it’s been the subject of much fan hype and speculation.

Odenkirk weighed in on the secrecy surrounding the film. “I’ve heard so many different things about it, but I am excited about the Breaking Bad movie. I can’t wait to see it,” he said.

If that response is anything to go by, then we’re guessing that our hopes for a Saul Goodman cameo probably won’t be coming true. We last left the (former) lawyer rolling Cinnabons in Omaha, but, apparently, there he shall stay. For now, at least.

Even though we probably won’t be seeing Odenkirk in the Breaking Bad movie, we’re still excited for him to return to our screens in 2020 when season 5 of Better Call Saul airs.
