Starring David Tennant and Hayley Atwell, the new Netflix series, Criminal, is a police drama set in interrogation rooms across the U.K., France, Spain, and Germany.

If you’ve been itching to get your David Tennant fix now that you’ve binged-watched Good Omens a dozen times, we have some good news: His newest series has an official premiere date. He’ll be taking the lead in Netflix’s newest crime dramaCriminal — but this show is unlike most others of its kind.

Criminal will have twelve episodes taking place across four different countries, with three episodes dedicated to each. Tennant, along with Agent Carter‘s Hayley Atwell, will star in the U.K portion of the show, along with Nicholas Pinnock.

Written by Killing Eve creatives George Kay and Jim Field Smith, Criminal will apparently take place entirely within the confines of a police interrogation suite — which we’re sure will make for some high-intensity moments.

We got our first real look at the series via a set of photos from Netflix’s twitter account, and we’re seriously excited:

Hayley Atwell is rocking some pink hair in one photo, and another shows David Tennant in the middle of a confession. Though most may know him at the 10th Doctor, his role as Killgrave in Jessica Jones gives us full confidence that Tennant is the perfect choice to play any kind of nefarious criminal in this new series.

Other than the stars and the multiple languages in which it will air, there’s not all that much we know about Criminal. Nonetheless, we’re excited to see what Netflix will deliver in a cross-continental crime drama, especially with such a stand-out cast.

You can catch David Tennant, Hayley Atwell, Nicholas Pinnock, and the rest of the Criminal cast when the series arrives on Netflix September 20.
