The 100 season 6 episode 10: 4 hints from this week’s preview
The preview for this week’s episode of The 100 shows the walls between Clarke’s mind and Josephine’s breaking down. Will either of them survive it?
For the better half of The 100′s sixth season, Clarke Griffin has been in a constant struggle to regain control over her mind. Really, she should have died when Russell Lightbourne implanted his daughter’s consciousness into her brain, but we all know Clarke doesn’t go down that easily.
Still, the battle between Clarke and Josephine can’t go on forever — especially since Josephine insists that both of them sharing a body can be detrimental in the long run. And the promo trailer for this week’s episode shows the barrier between the girls’ minds breaking down, meaning things are about to get worrisome for them both.
Watch the preview for “Matryoshka” here:
Although the images and synopsis for this week’s episode suggest we’ll be following multiple characters’ storylines, the trailer focuses primarily on Clarke and Josephine. What can we tell about their fates from watching it?
Clarke’s mindspace is blending with Josephine’s
The promo for “Matryoshka” opens with Josephine telling Clarke, “The barrier between our minds is breaking down.” But if you’re wondering what exactly that entails, just look at the very first clip. The books from Josephine’s mindspace during “Nevermind” seem to be piling up on the Ark, a prominent location from Clarke’s mindspace.
The door that leads from one girl’s memories to the other’s also shatters to pieces in a clip that follows, making it look like their brains are about to become one.
There’s a third person in their mindspace
Most of the teaser features Clarke and Josephine, but there is a third person who can be seen cowering on the floor of the Ark. At one point in the teaser, this blonde girl gets sucked into the Ark itself, leaving fans to wonder who she is and why she’s relevant enough to highlight here. Could the girl be someone from Josie’s past, or a former host body?
Josephine might just disappear
I mean, most fans assumed that Josephine would get kicked out of Clarke’s head by the end of the sixth season, but would the teaser really spoil us like this? There’s a moment during the preview that appears to show Josephine disintegrating, but is that actually her fate? Or is this just one of the many crazy things that are likely to unfold once Clarke and Josie really begin losing it?
Josephine wasn’t lying about things getting serious
Josephine has repeatedly told Clarke and Bellamy that the two girls sharing one mind can have fatal results. And with the effects of their minds sharing one body finally beginning to surface, it’s becoming clear why she was concerned. The teaser ends with what sounds like the announcement system on the arc stating, “Warning: systems critical.”
