Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD preview: Planet-eating hate-beast, part one!
Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD gets closer to revealing its planet-eating hate-beast. This week, it’s part one of the galaxy-hopping adventure.
Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD is firmly in the back-half of its sixth season with plenty of mystery still to explore — which means we’re getting a two-part arc in the coming weeks!
Here is the official synopsis for this week’s episode, courtesy of ABC:
"To face The Galaxy-Hopping Hate-Beast That Eats Planets, the team on Earth asks for help in all the wrong places. While back on the Lazy Comet, something weird is going on with Izel’s crew, and it’s not just the puffies."
It sounds like no one’s having a good time anywhere on Agents of SHIELD. Our Earthbound team looks to the shiftless Sarge for guidance, and FitzSimmons are stuck at the whim of the mysterious Izel.
And we’re still not quite sure who or what Izel is. Is she the galaxy-hopping hate-beast Sarge has warned SHIELD about? Or is she unknowingly harboring said hate-beast?
Plus, we’re still not quite sure if we can trust Sarge and his crew! Can’t Mack just rescind the deal he made with him, now that his team is safe? It’s probably best just to fall back and follow. If Sarge has more experience in this field (which he claims he does), may as well try to save the Earth.
Speaking of–how long do we think it will take FitzSimmons and Izel to make it to Earth? If I had to wager a guess, it may be the post-credits stinger for this episode or they’ll make it by the end of the next episode.
I also have the strangest feeling that Izel and Sarge are going to somehow know each other. Have some kind of entwined past. And that might not be good for anyone in their general vicinity when they meet on Earth.
Don’t miss this week’s episode of Agents of SHIELD!
