- OK. So, the first thing you need to do is get off your butt and head out into the world. In order to get things moving when it comes to battles, you need to visit a Fortress. You can find them by consulting the game map.
- Once you reach the Fortress, battle can commence. A Runestone will need to be spent in order to enter, so you better make sure you have one ready. Up to 4 players will be able to join you in the battle, those players joining you will also need to spend a Runestone.
- Based on the Runestone used will determine the level of enemy you will face. The higher the level of Runestone used, the harder the enemy will be. So, if you are just starting out, it will be best to use a lower level Runestone until you have become more experienced.
- Upon the enemy appearing. Battle will begin. Offensive spells can be used, along with Defensive spells also.
- If you are successful at defeating the enemy. Rewards will be given, along with the chance to move forward into the next chamber within the fortress.
- Minimum requirements must be met before moving forward into the next chamber.
Success does depend on several things when it comes to battling. A separate post on strategy and tactics will come later, but the number one thing to take away today is where possible, have other players compete in the battle with you. The more players you have the more likely you are to win.
