Rihanna’s much-anticipated Fenty luxury line has arrived. And while there are plenty of people excited by the release, others are unhappy with the price.
Fans of Rihanna are equal parts excited and upset over the singer’s new Fenty luxury line that officially dropped on May 29. While the excitement makes sense when you look at not only the pieces available, but also the fact that it looks like everyday women are modeling the new fashion, it is the price tag that some people can’t get on board with.
On social media, the mixed reaction included people defending Rihanna’s luxury line, pointing out that it comes from the same houses that have given us brands like Dior and Louis Vuitton. Considering there are dresses with a price tag of $990 and shirts around $200, it makes sense that there would be some people experiencing sticker shock. At the same time, this is a luxury line, so these prices technically make perfect sense.
With Twitter users reacting to the new Fenty release, there were definitely people on all sides of the debate, including having some tweets defending Rihanna’s new luxury line. Of course, even with people freaking out over the price of these pieces, there was still plenty of love for Rihanna and her Fenty luxury line.
We totally agree with the idea that these pieces will end up becoming even more valuable in the future. Depending on how popular some of these items are, they could end up being the kind of limited edition pieces that end up being hunted down by collectors and fans of Rihanna.
I also have to agree with the idea of my wallet being in danger. After all, my wishlist just keeps growing every time I browse a new page.
Of course, there are also those people who are not as happy with the price tag for these products. However, even as they are less than sold on the luxury line, they are not trying to tear it down, but instead making their own point about what is for sale.
Just like anything else, everyone is going to have a different opinion on what they like and don’t like. Plus, when it comes to luxury fashion, it is not always budget friendly. It makes sense that people are not exactly happy with the price of some of these items, but at the same time, it is all about understanding that these pieces are meant to be in line with other high-end brands, like Givenchy and Christian Louboutin.
