Harry Potter: Wizards Unite mobile data usage is expected to be high

Beware, everyone. Your mobile data usage is going to take a big hit when Harry Potter: Wizards Unite officially launches worldwide.
I suppose it‘s not really a huge surprise to hear that Harry Potter: Wizards Unite is going to be a huge drain on your mobile data usage. When you look at all the amazing graphics being used, it would actually be a bigger surprise if the AR game, but Niantic didn’t drain your data plan.
How much of a drain it will be on your mobile data is the big question though?

Wizards Unite Hub took a look at the amount of mobile data Harry Potter: Wizards Unite uses and it really depends on what you were doing, or more specifically who you came across while playing the game.
Some of the more larger magical creatures in the Wizarding World use up more mobile data compared to others. So, trying to get an exact number of data usage is difficult.

However, when comping it to Pokémon GO, Harry Potter: Wizards Unite is expected to use more data. So, if you have a rough idea of the data usage playing Pokémon GO, the just imagine using more.
So, what you will want to do is to try and avoid using your mobile data as often as possible. There would be nothing worse than finding you maxed out your data within a couple of days of the AR game is officially released.
