Toy Story 4’s new trailer reveals new character, badass Bo Peep and more

Toy Story 4, the final chapter of the wildly popular Disney/Pixar franchise, hits theaters June 21st. A new trailer just dropped, and we look at things you may have missed.

Since I first saw Toy Story in theaters back in 1995, I knew this group of rag tag toys would change the world of animation. And for the past 20+ years, they’ve done just that. Now with the last movie of the series on the horizon, Disney/Pixar have been upping the marketing game, and have released a new trailer.

There’s a lot going on in this visual wonderland, so let’s see what we may have overlooked…

An adventurous new character

The newest trailer gives up a peak at the new action toy, Duke Caboon (voiced by Keanue Reeves). This Canadian stuntman is highly articulated and eager to show off. We also get to see more of Forky, Ducky and Bunny, and the very evil and creepy ventriloquist dummys (yikes). Plus, there’s bound to be loads of new toys in the antique shop Woody and Bo appear to be in.

Bo’s back, and she’s a bad ass

By now, we all know that Bo comes back. We still don’t know why she went missing in the first place, but I’m sure that will be revealed in the new movie. I’m absolutely digging her new look (feels very Rey from Star Wars leading with the cane) and her bad-ass attitude. The rest of the gang is back as well, with Buzz and Woody spearheading a rescue mission for Forky.

A possible tear inducing story line

This really just goes without saying, and it has been confirmed by the cast that this will be a tear jerking story. Bring tissues.

Beautiful animation

Pixar has come a long way over the last few decades. The animation in Toy Story has only gotten better through the years, and this last installment has some beautiful visuals. The carnival scenes in particular stand out — they are impossibly bright and colorful, and just plain fun to watch.
