Harry Potter House Crests have updated and fans are really not sure what to think

The Hogwarts House Crests have gone and gotten themselves a makeover and Harry Potter fans are not too sure what to think of them.
Harry Potter fans are really attached to their Hogwarts House. Why? Because it is our Hogwarts House that’s why. Need I say anymore?
Because of our strong attachment to our Hogwarts Houses, we tend to get picky whenever changes are suggested or made. Even when they come from the likes of J.K. Rowling and Pottermore themselves.

So, when the announcement was made that the Hogwarts Crests would be changing, the reaction was mixed amongst Harry Potter fans. Some of us embraced the change, some of us did not and even more of us were on the fence, unsure what to think.
Personally, I’m one of those who are on the fence and are unsure of what to think.
The changes aren’t horrible, the new designs give it a simple and more modern look. I just wonder if they were actually necessary? If you haven’t seen them for yourself yet check them out just below:

As you can see. All of the houses got the makeover. And they are more modern and have a simplistic style to them.
As long as the new Hogwarts House Crests don’t overshadow and replace the current designs, I’ll be ok with the new changes. If they make all the current merchandise out of date and obsolete and therefore in need of an upgrade, then I’ll be annoyed. Because it will then be a cash grab essentially.
If it doesn’t do that then I am all good. Because then we, as fans, can choose the design we like the most.
