Harry Potter website Pottermore to shut down in collaboration with Warner Bros.

Pottermore, the number one website we have flocked to for Harry Potter trivia and news, is officially shutting down in a new Warner Bros. collaboration.
For years, fans of Harry Potter have flocked to Pottermore in order to get the news and trivia about the Wizarding World. Those days will soon be coming to an end as the official Pottermore website is to shut down due to a new Warner Bros. collaboration.
Both Pottermore and Warner Bros. made the announcement that in order to bring Harry Potter and Fantastic Beasts together as one; pottermore.com will shut down and wizardingworld.com will emerge.

The new site will launch on May 15 and all of the quizzes, features, and articles you have all come to know and love will be moving across. So don’t worry about losing any of your favorite Pottermore things.
This collaboration is actually a really good thing for fans of the Wizarding World because what you might not have been aware of, is the limits Pottermore has had due to intellectual property rights.

Due to the movies being produced by Warner Bros., there have always been some issues on what the site can show in terms of content from the movies. This collaboration will now mean they can do much more; essentially the only limit will be their imagination.
It’s going to be really exciting to see what the new website comes up with when it launches on May 15. Once it does, we will let you know what we think. So stay tuned.
