Avengers: Endgame packs a pretty big punch that should be heard through the TV shows. But how exactly will they all be affected?

Warning: Spoilers ahead for Avengers: Endgame.

Avengers: Endgame is everything you want from a Marvel film. Whether you’ve stuck things out since Iron Man in 2008, or are a newbie to this world, you know this is it. This is the big one. The bow on top of it all.

The only thing is: There’s still a television universe that ties into it, whether the movies admit it or not. The movies affect the shows and never vice-versa. With such a big movie, there are bound to be some repercussions felt throughout the shows.

Below, we break down the Marvel shows that still remain (RIP Marvel’s Netflix shows) and the probability that they’ll feel the Snap heard ‘round the world… And the resolution of reversing the snap. Plus that five-year time jump.

Cloak and Dagger

Honestly, Cloak and Dagger lives off in its own little universe. There’s barely any mention of the grander MCU—aside from the “big bad” of season 1 being Roxxon. We also don’t quite know when exactly this takes place in the MCU timeline, so we could be years before the Snap from Infinity War.

Then again, they could always end this second season with the snap, dusting Tandy or Tyrone or any of their family to create tension for next season. But then they’d have to pass five years before the Avengers fix it all.

They may not be willing to take that big of a leap. For now, I would say Cloak and Dagger won’t be affected by Endgame anytime soon.

Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.

Season five of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. ended minutes before the Snappening. They even mentioned the fight over in Wakanda. So unfortunately, they kind of need to address the Thanos in the room when the season starts.

However, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. is also really good at just brushing the larger MCU under the rug with a wave of their hands (you know, once they got over that hurdle of The Winter Soldier and became a fantastic show). They could easily start season 6 five years in the future when Endgame finishes.

Did any of our S.H.I.E.L.D. compatriots get snapped? Did May have to watch Coulson get dusted, come back, and then die from his illness? Will we say any repercussions from the snappening or will it all just be brushed under the rug with a handful of dialogue?

It’s a safe bet that Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. will lean into the time jump just to avoid dealing with half the team being dusted.

Disney+ Shows

We know very little about any of these shows since Disney+ doesn’t officially start until the fall. WandaVision might be taking place in the 1950s somehow. Plus Vision is still technically dead since Cap returned the stones to their respective times and the current stones are destroyed. However, Shuri should have his mind on a flashdrive somewhere and can bring him back to life in some form.

The Loki miniseries is rumored to be his involvement in events throughout our earthly history. However… isn’t there some alternate timeline now where he’s still alive? After all, Tony and Steve didn’t get the Tesseract from 2012—Loki disappeared with it and is off running around somewhere, alive and well.

The Hawkeye TV show (with Kate Bishop!) is still in the works, and we literally have no information on it. But since Natasha sacrificed herself for the soul stone, Hawkeye is still around to help train the next Hawkeye… whether that’s his daughter Lila who takes up the name Kate Bishop or a S.H.I.E.L.D. recruit with that name, we’ll have to find out!

And The Falcon and the Winter Soldier will certainly be affected with Cap leaving his shield to Sam. I doubt he’ll be changing his name to Captain America—he’ll just be Falcon wielding the shield.

Needless to say, Avengers: Endgame will have impacts on the shows, but not as much as you might think. Sure, everything got tied up in a neat little package — it will just depend on how the shows want to handle the time jump and the Snappening.
