We already know there is a future for the MCU after Avengers: Endgame. And now we know why Spider-Man has a new suit in Far From Home.
No matter what happens in Avengers: Endgame, we know that the show must go on. And with the announcement that Spider-Man: Far From Home was the next movie coming from the MCU, we already knew we would be seeing more of Spider-Man on the big screen.
Of course, with trailers for the movie having dropped before Endgame even hits theaters, we have seen a glimpse at Peter Parker rocking a new suit that looks nothing like his previous superhero gear. And now we know why he has a new suit and it makes perfect sense.
The director of Far From Home, Jon Watts, revealed in an interview with Entertainment Weekly the real reason that Spidey has a new Stealth Suit while he is on his class trip.
Watts explained that after everything that has happened to Peter, he just wants to get away for a while and enjoy a vacation with his friends. But, just because he chooses not to bring his suit or be a hero, that doesn’t mean his skills aren’t needed.
In fact, it seems that the world needs Spider-Man more than ever, and in order to do that it means donning a new suit, especially since Peter chose to leave his behind at home. Luckily for him Nick Fury has a great way of keeping Peter’s identity a secret, while still letting him be a superhero. That means having Spider-Man wear a stealth suit that looks an awful lot like something Black Widow would wear.
Plus, it would look rather suspicious if everywhere Peter Parker went, Spider-Man was there to save the day. Some people might catch on real quick as to who the hero is behind the mask if they pay attention to where Peter is and where Spider-Man shows up.
It makes sense that Peter is rocking a new suit in Far From Home for multiple reasons and we really don’t blame him at all for wanting to try being a kid for a little while longer. Too bad the world doesn’t seem to want to let that happen.
Spider-Man: Far From Home hits theaters on July 5, 2019. But in the meantime, we still have Avengers: Endgame to get through.
