Mobile game makers of Harry Potter: Wizards Unite, Niantic, had to make a sincere apology to Wizarding World fans in Australia after a huge error was made about the AR game.

Niantic hasn’t got off to the best start in Australia with their new Wizarding World game, Harry Potter: Wizards Unite. The mobile game developers sent out a notification advising players who had pre-registered that the mobile game was now available to download, the only problem was, there was nothing availble to download.

Currently, Harry Potter: Wizards Unite is still in the Beta phase of the test and it is only available in New Zealand. That only rolled out a couple of weeks ago so it is far from ready regarding the worldwide release.

Niantic soon cleared things up by sending another notification advising everyone the previous message was sent out in error. They clarified the AR game was not yet available to download and they apologized for the messages sent.

Reddit user yeahsurem8 captured a screenshot of the two messages sent out and shared them online. You can see what Wizarding World fans received announcing the game was now ready along with the apology shortly after.

Fingers crossed for Niantic this is the one and only mistake and it’s nothing but good things from here on out.
