Jacksonville is home to over twenty craft breweries! Having an ale trail to be able to try as many as possible on a visit to the city is a fun way to explore the city and try some delicious beer. The Jax Ale Trail starts by grabbing a passport from any of the visitor centers or participating breweries. As you make your way through the different locations, you’ll get your passport stamped plus get some pretty cool gear to remember your time in Jacksonville. One brewery not to miss is Wicked Barley, which also serves up some delicious food.

Where to dine: The Fox

The Avondale neighborhood of Jacksonville is filled with cute shops and one-of-a-kind restaurants. One of the best local diners is The Fox, which is a small space with pop culture references everywhere. The walls are filled with pictures of space cats, Star Wars characters, and collectable action figures. If you’re in Jacksonville wanting a great breakfast on a Saturday, be sure to get to The Fox early as a line does start to form around 9:00 a.m. Everything on the menu is homemade, and the biscuits are the best in the city.
