That one time Lord Voldemort slipped as if on a banana skin in Harry Potter

Oh, why didn’t we get a blooper or something in the extra footage of Harry Potter? Lord Voldemort slipping as if he stood on a banana skin would have been priceless.

Throughout the many years of filming Harry Potter, I am sure there would have been many mishaps. From a mess up of lines to actors and actresses being in the wrong place, the production team could have probably made a whole new movie filled with the bloopers they probably caught on camera.

However, I would have happily just had this one involving Ralph Fiennes as Lord Voldemort.

More from Harry Potter

According to Warwick Davis, who played Professor Flitwick and Griphook the Goblin in the Wizarding World franchise, Fiennes slipped as if he stood on a banana skin while filming a particular scene. Not only that, but he handled it like a pro.

It was while filming Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 2 and it happened while filming a scene in the Malfoy Manor. Voldemort had just learned how the Golden Trio had once again escaped, not only that but they were tracking down his precious Horcruxes as well.

Voldemort takes his anger out on everyone around him and quickly starts killing everyone within range, including, Griphook the Goblin, played by Warwick Davis. Davis explained while he lay on the floor, that he says Fiennes slip on the fake blood as if standing on a banana skin.

It didn’t take long for Fiennes to shake off the moment however and get back to being his big bad self.

"“I remember lying on the floor of Malfoy Manor in a pool of fake blood and I was watching the great Ralph Fiennes in action through a little crack in my eyes.“I watched him striding down with bare feet and he slipped on the fake blood. It was like he’d slipped on a banana skin in a cartoon.“You couldn’t help but laugh. He soon got his composure back like the great actor he is and carried on being very bad.”"

It’s a real shame we didn’t get that moment on a blooper reel or something though. It would have been fun to see the great Lord Voldemort strutting his stuff, being all scary, and then suddenly disappearing out of the shoot.
