A Discovery of Witches: Diana Bishop shakes up the magical world in sneak peek

The magical world of the All Souls trilogy comes to life in A Discovery of Witches. In this clip, watch as Diana Bishop shakes up the magic world with an interesting discovery.
The AMC premiere of A Discovery of Witches is right around the corner. The adaption of Deborah Harkness’ All Souls trilogy explores the first book in the series, which follows the witch Diana Bishop (Teresa Palmer), who has chosen not to embrace her witchy powers.
In this world, it’s nothing that Diana would be ashamed of, given the vampire, witch and demon population must hide among the humans anyway. But of course, it wouldn’t be a good series (or television show) if Diana wasn’t forced to embrace the powers within her. In this series, we see Diana struggle as she gets dropped in the middle of one of the biggest magical mysteries, all because of an enchanted manuscript that appears to only her. Dare we say, Diana is the chosen one?
In the sneak peek clip of episode 1 from AMC, we see what happens when Diana encounters this manuscript — fans of the book series may already know what it is — and it’s clear that things won’t be the same.
Also in this clip is the swoon-worthy vampire professor Matthew Clairmont (Matthew Goode), whose life becomes intertwined with Diana’s (to say the least) when she appears on the Oxford University campus. Matthew, of course, can feel this awakening when Diana encounters the book, and it leads him to be on her trail as he tries to figure out why the enchanted book has responded to Diana.
With the premiere of the show arriving on Sunday, you might want to settle down with a few of your friends for a #WitchesWatchParty and some witchy bingo. AMC created five A Discovery of Witches-themed bingo cards for you and your friends to print out (available on the AMC website) and play along with as you watch the show.
