Crazy Ex-Girlfriend preview: All good things must come to an end

This may be the last full episode of Crazy Ex-Girlfriend, but this week is going to have twists, turns, and more for Rebecca Bunch and her friends.

What is going to happen to us all without Crazy Ex-Girlfriend in our lives? The show that changed the way we view musical television is coming to an end, and this week, Rebecca has to really reflect on herself and what it means to be happy for her.

She is the kind of character who always lived her life working towards everyone else’s goals for her. Whether that be with her mother and her career or with her relationships with Josh, Greg, and Nathaniel, she’s focused more on those around her rather than on herself.

So now that the show is coming to an end, is that changing? To a degree, yes. Rebecca is still trying to make a decision on which man she will be happiest with, but her happiness isn’t based solely on her relationships.

She’s going to have to realize that her own happiness starts within herself. If she doesn’t know who she is, none of these relationships are going to work — no matter how hard she tries to make a decision.

Per her own instructions, she has until Valentine’s Day to make a choice. Will it be her roommate Josh, reigniting their old flame from summer camp? What about Greg Serrano, the man who threw a wrench in her plans when she moved to West Covina and changed the way she saw everything? Will it be Nathaniel, the man who was toxic for her but is changing who he is, just like Rebecca?

Or, above all, will Rebecca choose herself? Will she finally realize that she can be the person she needs most in this world and she can enjoy the companionship of any of these men without making her entire life revolve around them?

We’ll have to see on this week’s episode of Crazy Ex-Girlfriend.
