Harry Potter: Wizards Unite is one of the most highly anticipated mobile games of the year and it could be released to the world as early as June.

We’ve been talking about Harry Potter: Wizards Unite for some time now and it’s safe to say we’re excited. The augmented reality game from the makers of Pokémon GO is set for release this year and that very well could be in early June.

Thanks to Wizards Unite Hub, who conducted some deep dive digging, they reckon the highly anticipated Wizarding World mobile game will be released, at the latest, in some form, by June 9.

More from Harry Potter

They looked at the Google Play rules and what they found is once a mobile game is made available for pre-order, it has to be released within 90 days. Now there are some stipulations and loopholes, and Wizards Unite Hub does point these out, but, in its purest form, due to Harry Potter: Wizards Unite being opened for pre-registration on March 11, the game should be available, at the latest, on June 9.

Some of the stipulations and loopholes Wizards Unite Hub point out is the game may be released within the 90 day window, but as a Beta version rather than a full working version. Also, June 9 is a weekend, and it is highly unlikely Niantic would release a new mobile game during the weekend. And there are a few other bits and pieces here and there.

It’s a positive sign the mobile game will be here soon. Wizarding World fans are certainly looking forward to the game, as are we.

As soon as we have an official release date we will let you know about it. Fingers crossed Wizards Unite Hub have got it right and we’re looking at June at the latest.
