Arya Stark

During the seventh season of the series, Arya makes the decision to seek out her family instead of continuing on her mission for revenge. Upon hearing that Jon has taken Winterfell back from the Boltons, she immediately shifts course to return home. However, that doesn’t mean that Arya’s given up on her list entirely.

In fact, she might be even more emboldened to go after Cersei now that she has the might of Winterfell and the entirety of Daenerys’ army behind her. There are few people that stand behind Jon and Daenerys who would prevent her from enacting vengeance on the Lannister queen. In fact, most of them would thank her for a job well done.

And given Arya’s ability to steal faces, it should be easy for her to deceive her enemies in King’s Landing. Many fans have predicted that Arya will use Littlefinger’s face to achieve her ends, and using Littlefinger’s treacherous personality to get close to Cersei would certainly be a clever ploy on Arya’s part.

Judging by the eighth season trailer, Arya will also play some role in the fight for Winterfell, though things aren’t exactly looking promising for her. The trailer shows her running from some unknown enemy, and from the fear on her face, fans can only assume she’s being pursued by a wight or White Walker. After all, it isn’t easier to startle Arya these days.

Some also believe Arya may be running from her own family members turned into wights, a result of keeping generations of Starks in Winterfell’s crypts after death. If the Night King were to gain access to the crypts, he’d be able to rally dead characters like Ned or Rickon to his cause. That would certainly be enough to horrify Arya.
