Missandei

The friendship between Missandei and Daenerys is one of the greatest accomplishments of Game of Thrones, and Missandei’s romance with Grey Worm is also up there as far as the show’s relationships go. Missandei is endlessly loyal to both Dany and Grey Worm, and we can only hope that her loyalty won’t land her in the midst of the Night King’s army in season 8.

Much like Sansa, Missandei is clever but unskilled when it comes to physical combat. She shares this with Dany as well, though Missandei is lacking a dragon to ride into battle. She’ll likely wind up in the crypts with the other characters unable to fight, assuming she doesn’t leave Winterfell before the battle starts.

Attempting to send Missandei away from the fighting seems like something Dany would do for her friend, but even if she tries to send Missandei somewhere safe before the battle begins, it seems unlikely that Missandei would comply. We’ve already seen her worry over Grey Worm’s fate when the Unsullied attack Casterly Rock, and she probably won’t want to be far away from her friends when they’re in such turmoil.

If Missandei does survive, she’ll likely find herself in King’s Landing before long. If Daenerys does manage to take the throne from Cersei, her friends and advisors will become the next Small Council and Queensguard, assuming Dany doesn’t do away with such traditions. Missandei will likely be involved with helping Dany run her new kingdom. If anyone deserves that kind of happy ending, it’s Missandei.
