The Guardians of the Galaxy
Star-Lord (Peter Quill)
Status: Snapped
Alright, we have mixed feelings about Star-Lord after he ruined things for the rest of the heroes on Titan. When he brought Thanos out of his entranced state before Tony and Peter were able to get the Infinity Gauntlet off, that was a straight punch to the gut. He turned to dust soon along with some of his other fellow guardians.
Gamora
Status: Dead
In order to obtain the Soul Stone, one had to sacrifice something he loved on Vormir. Thanos, who thought of Gamora as his own daughter, was forced to throw her off a cliff where she fell to her death. Obviously, we’re hoping that she’ll somehow make an epic comeback somehow. But if not, RIP, Gamora. You were one of the good ones.
Groot
Status: Snapped
It’s no exaggeration when we say that Groot deserved better. Because of him, Thor was able to complete his axe, Stormbreaker. But sadly, our friendly and reliable Guardian was turned to dust in Wakanda in the blink of an eye. When the first trailer for Avengers: Endgame was released, fans thought they may have spotted Groot on the ship with Tony. But after a lot of debate, it was deemed a fluke.
Rocket
Status: Alive
Rocket also accompanied Thor on his journey to Nidavellir to forge Stormbreaker. After Thanos’ snap, he became the only surviving Guardians. He was left on Wakanda with the rest of the surviving Avengers, and based on the Endgame trailers, it looks like he’ll be recruited by the team to help stop Thanos.
Drax
Status: Snapped
Drax was one of the other Guardians on Titan who encountered Thanos. Wanting to avenge his wife and daughter, he definitely had as much hatred for the villain as other characters. He was turned to ash before he had the chance to get revenge, but hopefully, he’ll come back in time to take down Thanos.
Mantis
Status: Snapped
Mantis was the first of the heroes on Titan to disappear. As Tony helped her maneuver through the piles of debris, she says that something is happening, and turns to dust soon afterward. Drax, Quill, Strange, and Peter follow suit.
Nebula
Status: Alive
At the end of the movie, Nebula informed Tony that Thanos succeeded in finding all of the Infinity Stones after Mantis, Drax, Quill, Strange, and Peter disappeared. It’s clear that she’ll be playing a bigger role in the upcoming Avengers movie, seeing as it’s going to be all hands on deck for our favorite heroes.
