Harry Potter: Wizards Unite reveals iconic characters will be included

Iconic Harry Potter characters are to be included in the highly anticipated augmented reality mobile game Harry Potter: Wizards Unite.
Harry Potter: Wizards Unite will be arriving in the summer of 2019 according to Warner Bros. CEO, Kevin Tsujihara. Fans can also expect to find iconic characters included in the game according to mobile game developers Niantic.
So expect the find the Golden Trio, Harry, Ron, and Hermione to be featured, along with some of the iconic Professors of Hogwarts, such as Professor Dumbledore, Minerva McGonagall, and Severus Snape.

Niantic has not confirmed which characters will feature so we could be looking at a lot more characters featuring in the Wizarding World game. It’s not clear if Fantastic Beasts characters will be included.

It wouldn’t be a huge surprise if Niantic chooses to leave Fanstic Beasts characters out of the game if Harry Potter characters are being included. With the two franchises being set in two different time periods, and some characters crossing over the two time periods, such as Dumbledore and McGonagall, it would be a bit strange encounter Professor Dumbledore from Harry Potter one minute and then Professor Dumbledore again, but this time from his Fantastic Beasts days.
Specific details are still to be released in the run-up to the mobile game. Such as the specific launch date of Harry Poter: Wizards Unite and whether or not it only be made available exclusively to Samsung devices users at first or not.
