Nick, Joe, and Kevin Jonas are making music again as the Jonas Brothers. A new song is coming out this Friday, and the internet is ecstatic.
The internet is burning up with Jonas Brothers fever again, and we’re wondering if it’s 2019 or 2009. On Thursday, the band announced that they were reuniting, and they have a few surprises in store for JoBros fans.
The announcement came via a promo for The Late Show with James Corden. It featured Joe Jonas joining Corden in his carpool, later picking up Nick and Kevin. When Corden asked what’s going on, the brothers indeed confirmed, “Yep, we’re back.”
The first part of this epic announcement includes a “Jonas Brothers Week” on The Late Show. And, as evident by the teaser, they’ll be featured on Carpool Karaoke. But the biggest announcement for the band was that they were coming out with brand new music, and that music is coming as soon as tomorrow.
The Jonas Brothers’ Twitter account shared a link that includes a preview to the new single arriving on Friday, March 1 at midnight. It’s called “Sucker,” and we already have the album art for it, which you can see in the tweet below.
This news, of course, sent the internet in a frenzy. Both fans and brands celebrated the Jonas Brothers’ return on Twitter. And it looks like everyone is ready to go back to the days of graphic tees, Silly Bandz, and fake nerd glasses. (Those were the days.)
As a final act of kindness to their fans, the brothers recreated a famous viral video of theirs called Your Daily Dose of Jonas. It’s a relic of the prime days of YouTube, where a curly-headed Kevin and Nick pick up a table and turn it around, promptly for the emo sidebang-styled Joe to walk in and exclaim “Oh, how the tables have turned.”
It’s hard to believe that was over 10 years ago… but looking back at their oh-so-2008 hairstyles and wardrobe compared to today’s video, maybe it isn’t so hard to believe.
It’s easy to say that Jonas Brothers fans will be counting down the moments until midnight as they wait for the single to drop. Let’s just all be glad we didn’t have to wait until the year 3000 for new Jonas Brothers music.
