Jude Law has revealed his journey on how he became the iconic Young Albus Dumbledore in Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald.

In an exclusive video released to INSIDER, which is to be included in the home release of Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald, Jude Law explains that he became interested in the Wizarding World franchise after watching Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them.

It was shortly after watching the first installment of the Harry Potter prequel series that Law decided to reach out to Warner Bros. directly, asking what is next for the franchise and future characters.

"“I saw the first ‘Fantastic Beasts’ and I think I made an inquiry after seeing it, quite quickly, thinking, ‘Ah, where else is this going to go? What are the other characters?”“I got a call early on saying that they were looking to cast a young Dumbledore,”"

Now, Law does admit that he is not 100% sure if reaching out to Warner Bros. was the key ingredient of him landing the role, but it was shortly afterward that he got a call about the possibility of playing the iconic character.

He obviously had to audition and be right for the role. So even if it did help it was merely just what got the ball rolling for him.
