Grammys performers for this year’s awards ceremony include Post Malone, Janelle Monáe, and Kacey Musgraves. Here are performances we would like to see.

The Grammys are almost here. The biggest deal in pop music awards will be held on Feb. 10 and hosted this year by Alicia Keys, which we think is a great choice. This is the 61st year of the Grammy Awards, and The Recording Academy has announced some of the artists who will be performing.

You can look forward to hearing the musical stylings of Camila Cabello, Cardi B, Dan + Shay, Post Malone, Kacey Musgraves, Shawn Mendes, and Janelle Monáe. We are loving this lineup and really happy to see so many women on the list, as women have definitely been stealing the show and headlines when it comes to music this year.

Janelle Monáe always puts on an amazing, artful performance, so we can’t wait to see what she brings to the show. She could possibly perform any of her hits from her Dirty Computer album such as “Make Me Feel” or “Pynk.” She is nominated for Album of the Year as well as Best Music Video for “Pynk.” The album was definitely one of the best albums of 2018, and an extremely influential album culturally for queer women, especially queer women of color, and we would love to see her take home the Grammy.

Another performance that could be really exciting to see on the stage is if Post Malone performs “Sunflower,” which was made for the Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse film. Camila Cabello could either perform her mega-hit “Havana” or go with “Never Be the Same” for a more slow, but still sultry option.

The artists who are performing have all received nominations. Cardi B has five nominations ranging from Album of the Year for Invasion of Privacy to Best Rap Performance for “Be Careful.” Kacey Musgraves has been nominated for four awards including Best Country Album and Best Country Song. We bet that both of these women will give a great performance, too.
