Harry Potter 20th anniversary edition German books are stunning

The world has been celebrating 20 Years of Harry Potter. Germany is celebrating with a new edition of books that are probably the most beautiful editions to date.
I’m just going to start this post off by pointing out that I can’t speak or read German. But, this new edition of German Harry Potter books to celebrate 20 Years of Harry Potter are so beautiful I think I will get them anyway. In fact, I think I might try and learn German just so I can enjoy them to their fullest.
The collection has been redesigned and reimagined by lacopo Bruno, an Italian graphic artist, and illustrator. All seven of the Wizarding World books have been redesigned by Bruno, which is rich in detail from spine to cover, and each one is a different color.

On the spine of each book is an illustration that is unique to that particular chapter of the Harry Potter story. The Philosopher’s Stone has an image of the Golden Snitch on the spine of the cover. The Chamber of Secrets has the Flying Ford Anglia. The Goblet of Fire, the Golden Egg. etc, etc.

You really get immersed into the world of Harry Potter with this collection as every inch is filled with magical wonder.

lacopo Bruno spoke about his time creating the new look for the Wizarding World books and had the following to say:
"‘I love getting lost in the richness of details, in the complexity of decorations, in using images to tell more about the characters, and in typographic research,’‘I’m very attached to Italian graphic design, yet I’m also very attracted to Anglo-Saxon imagery. My research always draws from a universe of objects and images from past ages and countries: I consult the books that fill my library, the objects that I collect myself, and certainly also the infinite well of the internet.’"
It’s been a big year for Harry Potter but for Germany in particular. With celebrating 20 Years of Harry Potter, celebrations have taken place all over the country. The production of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child is coming to Hamburg, Germany in 2020. Which will be the very first time the production has been performed in another language.
