Harry Potter is coming to Netflix in January for Potterheads

Good news Potterheads. Harry Potter is finally coming to Netflix and much sooner than you think. All eight movies will arrive on the network in January.

2019 is getting off to a great start for Potterheads. Netflix is finally adding Harry Potter to the streaming network in January next year. All eight movies will arrive on the network at the same time on Jan. 15.

Netflix announced the news that the Wizarding World movies will arrive on Netflix Austalia via social media. Calling on all witches and wizards to get ready to go back to Hogwarts.

This is great news for all Potterheads around the world. While the movies will only be available to Netflix users in Australia, this is one more step for the Wizarding World movies to becoming available elsewhere around the world.

France and Belgium Netflix recently added the Harry Potter movies to their network and Canada Netflix recently added Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them. Potterheads have eagerly wanted the streaming giants to add the Wizarding World movies to the network worldwide. But with the rights owned by other networks, for example, in the US, SYFY has the rights to air the movies, it’s not possible.

Fans will be hoping that when networks like SYFY are looking to pass the rights on, streaming networks like Netflix will come in and gain the rights to show the movies. Or, Netflix will one day be able to convince networks to pass the rights to them.

Basically, we want the Harry Potter movies on the streaming network so we can watch them over and over again as often as we want. And while it’s only been added to Netflix Australia, it’s one step closer to the movies being added everywhere.
