More from Harry Potter

Unfortunately, there will be no more Fantastic Beasts for quite some time. Officially, we do not have any confirmation of when Fantastic Beasts 3 will be out in theatres. But there are plenty of clues giving us an indication of when it will be out.

First up is the script. J.K. Rowling has completed the script for Fantastic Beasts 3 so filming should be getting underway soon. When Johnny Depp announced he would be back for the third installment of the franchise, he also made it known that filming would begin in the first half of 2019.

So it’s a good bet that filming will start, at the latest, summer 2019. Again, just a theory, nothing concrete.

Average time for filming is around 18 – 24 months. If it begins at the beginning of summer 2019 then we would be looking at the end of 2020, two years after Crimes of Grindelwald.

IMDb has the next Wizarding World movie scheduled to be out in theaters in Nov. 2020. So it looks like they are on the same track as us in when it comes to when will Fantastic Beasts 3 come out?
