Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald is out in theatres for all to enjoy right now but when will Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald be on Netflix?
It’s been a huge year for the Wizarding World. With celebrations of “20 Years of Harry Potter ” taking place, Harry Potter and the Cursed Child coming to Broadway, and Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald dropping in theatres. However not everybody has managed to see the new Wizarding World movie yet, with some fans waiting for it to arrive on Netflix in order to see it. So when will that be? When will Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald be on Netflix?
Annoyingly, this isn’t an easy question to answer. Unlike other movie franchise, Star Wars for example, who are very easy to predict if they will drop on the streaming platform and if they will, when. The Wizarding World movies have a bit of a messy history.

If we take things as they are right now. Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald will not be coming to Netflix in the US. None of the Harry Potter movies are on the platform, same with Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them. Currently, the movies are shown on SYFY and the USA Network after moving over from HBO. Until that changes, the movies will not arrive on Netflix.
However, if you live outside of the US then we need to have a different conversation. Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald could arrive on Canadian Netflix. Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them is currently on the platform so we could see the sequel arrive one day as well.

In France, all of the Harry Potter movies can be streamed. So just like Canada, the latest Wizarding World movie is likely to arrive on Netflix. But apart from these countries, it’s unlikely Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald will come to Netflix.
In saying all that. Things can change. Nothing is set in stone forever and all of this could change one day and Netflix, or another streaming platform, will have landed the rights for the Wizarding World movies.
We will keep an eye on things here at Wizards and Whatnot and as soon as anything changes you will be the first to know.
