Chris Hemsworth shows off new look at Men in Black amid Avengers: Endgame buzz

Chris Hemsworth showed off a new photo from the set of Men in Black, all while Avengers: Endgame soaked up most of the day’s buzz.

Hopefully, everyone’s heads are spinning a little less now that the buzz for the Avengers: Endgame trailer has died down. But believe it or not, so much more happened on Friday, despite Marvel Studios casting a huge shadow over everyone and everything else.

That even includes news from Marvel Studios’ very own Chris Hemsworth, who had more to share than his excitement for the new Avengers trailer. Yes, Hemsworth did briefly appear in the new Avengers trailer, but there wasn’t much to soak in after seeing a flash of Thor for a brief second or two. And so, Hemsworth shared a photo from the set of the newest Men in Black instead.

The actor is starring in the movie alongside his Thor: Ragnarok (and possible Avengers: Endgame) pal Tessa Thompson, both of who will be playing two new agents. And judging by the picture Hemsworth shared below, we can expect a lot of action (and hopefully comedy) from the two.

According to Hemsworth’s hashtags and new information, the movie is officially titled Men in Black: International. The new title seems to clarify why Hemsworth and Thompson shared so many photos on their social media in their MIB suits around the world. The photo Hemsworth shared shows the duo in London, and a photo posted by Thompson shows the two in the Sahara desert when they filmed in Morocco.

Sony has finally released a synopsis of the movie as well, writing:

"The Men in Black have always protected the Earth from the scum of the universe.  In this new adventure, they tackle their biggest, most global threat to date: a mole in the Men in Black organization."

It looks like the new agents are in for something big this time, but it may not be with the help of Agent Jay and Agent Kay. Sony’s official casting list does not have the original Men in Black, Tommy Lee Jones and Will Smith, marked down as being in the movie. But there’s always the possibility that either of them could appear for a brief cameo.

Although, there’s still a lot more star power in the movie without two original actors. The movie will also feature Rebecca Ferguson and Kumail Nanjiani, as well as Emma Thompson playing the character Agent O and Liam Neeson in an unknown role.

Men in Black: International will be in theaters just in time for the summer blockbuster season on June 14, 2019.
