Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth prove love can last the second time around

Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth have become an exceptionally private celebrity couple since reigniting their romance, but it seems their love is lasting.

Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth fascinated us when they first fell in love. Now, after successfully reigniting their romance, Cyrus and Hemsworth have become even more enchanting as they show all the signs of making their love a forever affair.

How Miley Cyrus, Liam Hemsworth’s relationship began

Miley and Liam first met when they were working on a film, reported Us Weekly. The year was 2009, and their on-screen relationship on The Last Song quickly turned into a real-life romantic relationship.

Cyrus revealed that Hemsworth, who was from Australia, didn’t know about her fame. As a result, he respected her in a very different way than those who knew her from the media as a celebrity.

“I got to tell him about myself on my own terms and my own way,” recalled Miley. “He had no preconceived notion of who I was supposed to be.”

Romance blossomed before split

Cyrus and Hemsworth continued to date for several years, with red carpet appearances that showed their love. The actor shared that Miley made him “really happy.”

Three years after their meeting on the film set, Hemsworth and Cyrus became engaged. Taking place in June 2012, the proposal included an enormous 3.5-carat Neil Lane engagement ring. That same month, Miley said that she felt “all my dreams are coming true.”

But something went wrong soon after, with the couple breaking up in 2013. For some time, everyone under the sun tried to decipher what went wrong. Cyrus herself revealed though fairly relatable reasons as to why the two split in 2017 during an interview with Howard Stern.

“I had to,” Miley says of the breakup. “I don’t like when relationships are two halves trying to make a whole… I don’t think that I have that co-dependency.”

She added that she thinks couples who split and end up back together are “awesome.”

Cyrus added that during a breakup, each person gets “time to be yourself. You get time to grow up.” She added, “If you’re growing up attached to another person, you never really get solid as your own being.”

Reunited and it feels so good

In January 2016, Cyrus and Hemsworth welcomed the New Year as a couple. They seemed to renew their romance as if they had never ended it. Two years later, Miley and Liam are showing all the signs that their romance this time around will last forever.

An insider confirmed to Entertainment Tonight that Cyrus and Hemsworth are “totally in love.” The lovebirds are “so happy living together.”

As for all those rumors that Liam and Miley secretly tied the knot, the source clarified that the couple is not married. Instead, they find it funny that some believe those secret wedding rumors.

And their pals apparently are in on the joke.

“[Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth] refer to each other as husband and wife all the time and their friends laugh,” added the insider.

But they still think about getting married, the source added. “They do talk about a wedding and kids all the time, but they are in no rush.”

As a result, there are conflicting reports.

While one insider quoted by the publication said that Hemsworth and Cyrus “do talk about a wedding and kids all the time, but they are in no rush,” other sources said that the duo isn’t planning a wedding in the future.

One of those insiders clarified that Cyrus and Hemsworth don’t view a formal marriage as essential. Instead, they believe that what matters is their love for each other.

They view engagement as symbolic commitment

However, when Cyrus and Hemsworth became engaged in October 2016, it marked “a symbol of commitment,” said another source. And that symbol sufficed.

Moreover, Miley reportedly is dubious about the benefits of marriage.

“Miley has actually said she doesn’t want to get married, despite the engagement,” added the insider. “She doesn’t think it makes a relationship better.”
