Fans react to Daredevil cancellation and wonder if the show can be saved

Fans are understandably upset about the Daredevil cancellation, and many are speculating about how the show could be saved.

Everyone is still reeling and trying to figure out what is going on now that Daredevil has been canceled. This move is really confusing as Daredevil has been a strong show for Netflix, and the most recent season, the third, has been one many fans have talked about as the best, not just as the best Daredevil season, but one of the best seasons of any Marvel Netflix show.

Fans have had many reactions to the news, and they are very, very unhappy overall. While some people were bracing for this, it seems like such a big blow to give to the Marvel fandom.

Many fans didn’t have much to say except to explain their own sadness and shock. And, of course, many fans expressed their feelings with funny GIFs or images.

Other fans were upset because the show hadn’t even addressed certain storylines and characters that they were looking forward to.

And, many other fans are sharing hashtags such as #savedaredevil to prove that the show has a strong fan base and needs to be uncancelled. Netflix has saved many shows, and it seems like many shows that have been canceled have been saved these days because of fan reactions. There is some precedent for this. Netflix itself even made a movie for Sense8 after the outrage that ensued when they canceled the show.

And, other fans brought up that the show could possibly be moved to the Disney streaming service, Disney+. But, they weren’t exactly happy about this. Fans noted that the show might look very different with Disney in charge.

There is a lot of speculation about the fate of Daredevil in the long run. Many people are speculating about how the Disney streaming service is impacting these decisions. Now that Daredevil, Iron Fist, and Luke Cage have all been canceled, fans wonder if Disney is ending their deal with Netflix so that they will be able to use these characters in the future.

We already know that Disney is ending their streaming deal with Marvel. Now, all Marvel movies that stream will be on Disney’s own service, Disney+, not on Netflix.

According to IGN, a Disney spokesperson said that there aren’t plans to move these shows off of Netflix. But, it’s hard to know what is really going to happen in the future. The Disney streaming service is also supposed to be family-friendly, so, even if they did end up using characters like Daredevil in the future, the show would likely look very different, although Marvel has also noted in its own statement that things might not be over yet.

Maybe the answer is just that Daredevil wasn’t doing as well as Netflix would have wanted. With Marvel leaving the streaming service, Netflix could feel that they will get less viewers for these kinds of shows. Also, shows like Daredevil are expensive to make, so maybe this is just a financial decision. But the timing does seem strange, and it seems odd to cancel a show that has been loved by fans and critics alike.
