Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton have traveled a long and romantic path since beginning their relationship as platonic pals. When they met, the pop music princess and country music superstar both were coaches on the TV singing competition, The Voice. And they didn’t seem to have much in common beyond those enormous chairs on the show.
Gradually, however, rumors that Gwen and Blake were more than friends soared, and the two finally confirmed the gossip: They were a couple in love. Since then, the duo has charmed us with their open affection.

Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton are “beyond inseparable”
An insider recently told People that Stefani and Shelton are planning to be “together forever.” The lovebirds have been dating for three years, and the source revealed that Stefani and Shelton are “still madly in love and beyond inseparable.”
As for whether wedding bells will ring for the couple, the insider explained that the country music crooner wants to “take his time with marriage.” But regardless, he is “absolutely committed to Gwen.”
How this unlikely duo’s romance blossomed
Billboard pointed out that way back in November 2014, Stefani gave her fans the first hint that she and Shelton were enjoying a flirty friendship. Stefani dropped the clue when she shared her very first photo with Shelton, complete with a coy heart emoji.
From there, the two gradually realized how much they had in common. Shelton had just gone through a divorce from Miranda Lambert, while Stefani was struggling in the aftermath of her own marriage breakup with Gavin Rossdale.
It was Shelton’s representative who eventually confirmed that Stefani and Shelton were “friends who have very recently started dating.” Stefani subsequently admitted that it felt “kind of crazy we both went through the same thing [divorce] at the same time.”
Our favorite Instagram photo and confirmation that Gwen and Blake were truly in love came during their very first red carpet appearance.
Stefani and Shelton have continued to keep their love strong, getting the ultimate affirmation that the romance is real from his bromance buddy Adam Levine. Levine called the duo “so in love it’s disgusting.” But he also called their romance “really beautiful,” emphasizing “it’s real.”
Their new music video makes us “feel like Christmas”
Just in time to warm our hearts as winter’s chill arrives, Stefani unveiled a new music video. “You Make It Feel Like Christmas” proves that Shelton and Stefani have achieved “couple goals,” pointed out E! News.
Shelton and Stefani’s adorable video offers a mix of eclectic vibes (totally Gwen) as well as throwback holiday sounds (Blake’s idea, most likely). The pop music princess turned to Instagram to share photos of the two on the set of the video, and if the visuals don’t have you yearning for December 25th, we don’t know what will.
Stefani recalls through her music that she had assumed she “was done for, thought that love had died.” And then along came Shelton to make her “feel like Christmas.”
