A Pentatonix Christmas – Pentatonix

Who needs instruments when you can make the beautiful sounds of a full Christmas orchestra entirely with your mouth? Not everyone can pull that off, but acapella group Pentatonix knows exactly what they’re doing.

Pentatonix actually has more than one Christmas album, but let’s talk about A Pentatonix Christmas. They released the album in 2016 and it mostly featured their acapella versions of classics that we all already know and love, as well as two originals, “Good to Be Bad” and “The Christmas Sing-Along”. Some of the classics included “O Come, All Ye Faithful”, “White Christmas”, and N*Sync’s “Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays” (which is a classic if I say it is!).

A Pentatonix Christmas debuted at #3 on the Billboard 200 upon its release, and ended up hitting number one, a feat for a holiday album. The group released the deluxe edition of the album in October 2017 with five more songs, including “How Great Thou Art” featuring Oscar-winner Jennifer Hudson. As of November 2017, the album sold an impressive 1.4 million units worldwide.

Clearl,y Pentatonix love the holidays as much as the rest of us because this is their second of three full-length Christmas, joined by 2014’s That’s Christmas To Me and their latest, 2018’s Christmas Is Here! That means if you’re a fan of Pentatonix and love Christmas, you can enjoy PTX sing your faves and some originals for the entire holiday season without having to hear the same songs over and over again. Now that’s a real gift!
